CyclOn Stay Fixed - Carbon Assembly Paste
CyclOn Stay Fixed - Carbon Assembly Paste is a specialised mounting compound designed to facilitate the safe and secure installation of high-end carbon components. Engineered to handle delicate carbon-to-carbon and carbon-to-metal interfaces, this paste features an advanced micro-granular structure. The integrated fine micro-particles generate optimal mechanical friction between smooth mating surfaces, creating a secure bond. As a result, components stay locked firmly in position under considerably lower clamping forces, minimising the risk of crushing or damaging expensive carbon fibers during installation.
Beyond ensuring structural stability, CyclOn Stay Fixed actively addresses the frustrating creaks and squeaks common to carbon assemblies. Formulated with an upgraded, eco-conscious plant-based base, it seals component interfaces against moisture, water ingress, and road grime. This long-lasting barrier prevents parts from seizing or binding under heavy operational loads, ensuring that subsequent adjustments or component teardowns remain straightforward and stress-free.
This high-friction assembly paste is suitable for all non-moving bicycle components, making it essential for locking down carbon seatposts, aerodynamic handlebars, and stems across road racing, mountain, and gravel bikes. Available in a compact, toolkit-ready 150ml tube for home mechanics and a generous 500ml workshop tub for high-volume service centers, it provides a clean, precise, and professional assembly standard.

Pros & Cons
-
Fine micro-granular texture prevents carbon components from slipping or sliding out of alignment during intense rides
-
Maximises mechanical grip, allowing parts to be safely secured well below their maximum torque limits to prevent crushed carbon fibers
-
Effectively seals out water and debris to eliminate irritating popping, creaking, and ticking noises under heavy loads
-
Eco-friendly, plant-based formulation provides a premium maintenance standard without relying on harsh chemicals
-
Available in two dedicated sizes: a small 150ml tube for home toolboxes and a bulk 500ml tub for heavy workshop use
-
Intended exclusively for static, non-moving bike assemblies; must never be applied to dynamic bearings, shock internals, or suspension linkage pivots
-
Not designed for standard metal-on-metal threaded fasteners or bottom bracket shells, which require a dedicated anti-seize or standard lithium assembly paste instead
How to Use:
-
Preparation: Thoroughly clean all connecting surfaces using a high-quality degreaser (such as CyclOn Bionet Chain Cleaner). Rinse away any residual cleaner and wipe the components completely dry.
-
Application: Apply a thin, uniform layer of CyclOn Stay Fixed directly onto the contact points of the component. For clean workshop execution, utilise a small application brush or a dedicated grease gun.
-
Assembly: Insert the component into position and torque the fastening bolts evenly to the manufacturer's specified rating. Use a clean cloth to wipe away any excess paste pushed out during tightening.
