When using high-performance dual-spring pedal systems like TIME ATAC, the metal retention bars can gradually wear down, score, or gouge the composite or carbon fiber sole around the cleat pocket over time. These ultra-thin, highly durable stainless steel plates act as a resilient barrier. Sandwiched cleanly between your shoe's sole and the ATAC cleat, they absorb all mechanical friction and pressure without altering your stack height or interfering with the pedal's legendary mud-shedding engagement.
